A description of the Nanosyntax framework (Starke 2009, 2018) written as a chapter for a volume on minimalism, edited by Kleanthes Grohmann and Evelina Leivada. I mainly focus on the differences concerning the role of the lexicon in the grammar in Nanosyntax vs. standard minimalism.
